About Us -
SRKC

Radhe Radhe! 🙏

Welcome to Shri Radha Krishna Collections (SRKC) - a mission-driven venture born from two childhood friends' deep commitment to preserving the sanctity of pilgrimage, supporting local artisans, and providing authentic devotional items to devotees worldwide.

OUR STORY

The Problem We Saw

Pilgrimage and devotion have always been sacred, pure, and transformative. Yet in today's world, these holy places—especially Gokul and Braj, the divine land of Lord Krishna—have become centers of chaos and pollution. What was once organized, sanctified worship has become commercialized and disorganized, with devotees unknowingly using inauthentic items for their puja and seva.

Additionally, the traditional handicrafts of Braj—the intricate Laddu Gopal dresses, handwoven Tulsi kanthi, authentic Braj jewels—are on the verge of extinction as modern commerce favors mass production over authentic artistry.

We realized something had to change.

WHO WE ARE

We are Madhup Kaushal and Prashant Sharma, childhood friends and now co-founders of SRKC. At just 19 years old, we made a conscious decision to dedicate our youth to a mission bigger than ourselves: to restore authenticity to bhakti, support dying local handicrafts, and keep the sacred spaces of Braj clean and sanctified.

Madhup Kaushal

  • Founder of Project Gokul (2025) - a community-driven initiative to make Gokul and Braj cleaner

  • Strong background in technology and web development

  • Passionate about sustainable practices and youth empowerment

  • Vision: Use business as a tool for social change

Project Gokul Impact:

  • 10-15 active volunteers engage in regular cleaning drives every Sunday

  • Partnership with Gokul Nagar Panchayat (local government body)

  • Awareness campaigns on plastic waste management and disposal

  • Continuous mission to preserve the sanctity of Braj

Prashant Sharma

  • Local Tour Guide with deep expertise in Braj and Gokul darshan

  • Content Creator (@gokul_vlog01) with 10k+ Instagram followers

  • Creates short-form Instagram reels and full-length YouTube videos on Braj temples, Krishna bhakti, and sacred sites

  • Guides many pilgrims and travelers through the holy land with devotion and knowledge

  • Strong background in bhakti philosophy and spiritual practices

HOW SRKC WAS BORN

The Realization

Through our individual journeys—Madhup's cleaning drives in Project Gokul and Prashant's work as a tour guide and content creator—we witnessed a heartbreaking reality:

  • Pilgrims were lost: They didn't know which products were authentic

  • Local artisans were struggling: Women crafting beautiful Laddu Gopal dresses, Tulsi kanthi, and traditional items were barely earning a living

  • Commercialization was rampant: Fake, low-quality devotional items flooded the market

  • Sacred spaces were polluted: The very act of worship was contributing to Braj's degradation

The Birth of SRKC

We realized that authenticity and spirituality go hand in hand. You cannot worship with a pure heart using inauthentic items. And if we truly care about pilgrimage, we must preserve both the sanctity of the land AND the authenticity of the products.

SRKC was born from this vision: To be the bridge between authentic local artisans and devotees worldwide who seek genuine, pure, spiritually empowering devotional items.

Our First Steps

We didn't start with fancy ideas or investor funding. We started authentically:

  1. Connected with local artisans - Many of them women working from home, crafting beautiful pieces in silence

  2. Listened to their stories - Learned about their struggles and their commitment to traditional crafts

  3. Committed to support - Promised fair prices, regular orders, and market access

  4. Launched from the ground up - Our first products were Tulsi Kanthi Malas and Bhakti Kits (Japa Mala, Japa Bag)

  5. Gained our first customers - Local Vaishnavs in Gokul who believed in our mission

  6. Went digital - Shared our story on Instagram, YouTube, and WhatsApp

  7. Opened a physical store - April 2026, Gokul Bairaj Road—just one month before this moment

OUR MISSION

Three Pillars of SRKC
1. Authenticity Over Everything

Every product in our store is:

  • Sourced directly from verified local Braj artisans

  • Made with traditional methods and pure materials

  • Curated with spiritual intention, not commercial hype

  • Blessed through temple prashadi seva when applicable

2. Support Local Handicrafts

We believe in preserving Braj's artistic heritage:

  • We work with home-based women artisans who craft beautiful Laddu Gopal dresses, Tulsi kanthi, and traditional items

  • We pay them fairly and provide consistent orders

  • We celebrate their work on our platform

  • We're committed to scaling their income and recognition

3. Preserve Sacred Spaces

We live by our conviction: True bhakti means protecting the land where we worship.

  • Madhup continues Project Gokul's weekly cleaning drives

  • We ensure our packaging is eco-friendly and sustainable

  • We educate devotees about conscious consumption

  • We inspire young people to see spiritual practice and environmental care as inseparable

We are constantly growing and adding more authentic Braj items to our collection.

WHAT MAKES SRKC DIFFERENT?

We Are Grounded in Braj

Unlike online stores that source products from anywhere, we are based in Gokul, the birthplace of Krishna. We live here. We understand this land. We have relationships with local artisans built on trust, not transactions.

We Understand Authenticity

Prashant's deep knowledge of bhakti philosophy and tour guide experience means we don't just sell products—we understand the spiritual purpose behind each item. Madhup's tech background ensures we make these authentic products accessible worldwide.

We Support Real People

When you buy from SRKC, you're directly supporting:

  • Home-based women artisans in Braj

  • Traditional craftspeople keeping ancient arts alive

  • Local temples through our prashadi seva program

We Blend Tradition with Modernity

  • Traditional artisan craftsmanship + modern e-commerce accessibility

  • Ancient bhakti practices + contemporary digital content (@gokul_vlog01)

A NOTE FROM US

We know we're young. We know we're just starting. But we also know that our generation is the bridge between the old and the new.

Our grandparents knew authenticity instinctively. They could distinguish between genuine and fake with ease. We've lost that instinct. And that's what SRKC is here to restore.

We're not just building a business. We're building a movement for conscious, authentic, compassionate spirituality. A movement where pilgrimage is sacred again, where local artisans are honored, and where devotion genuinely means taking care of the sacred land we worship in.

Every purchase you make with us is a vote for this vision.
